Silent reading and new reading record started. Quiz over vocabulary from yesterday. Notes on Characterization and explanation of how to we will be reading the novel.
Completed silent reading and reading record. Turn in for grade. Record grades in blue binder, and learn and practice vocabulary for The Outsiders Chapter 1 part 2. Each class goes to vocabulary.com and signs in with their school gmail.
Silent read and complete an anticipation guide about issues which will appear in The Outsiders. Discuss opinions in small groups.
Silent reading. Short video clips from teacher tube on the 60s including toys, fashion, music, television, movies, cars, politics, etc. Marked items in the K column with a plus if confirmed, minus if not true, and blank if not mentioned. Answer questions in the W column and add new knowledge to the L column for Learned.

After instruction on the purpose of indenting and relevant details, students completed activities in their ISNs to practice the content. Silent reading was completed and reading records were turned in for a grade.
